Parents & Families

We realize that when a student enrolls at the University, we also establish a relationship with parents and family members who support that student. Our objective is to become good partners with you as we work together to support your student in achieving success. You are entrusting us with a person you love and we will honor that trust by fostering an academic community that respects individuals and supports intellectual pursuits.
The collegiate years are a critical time in your child’s life and play an important role in his or her future. Students grow and develop intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically significantly during this period. To be a well rounded individual, we challenge our students to learn to think critically, act ethically, and be responsible for their choices and actions. Because we believe every student has the potential to be successful, we rely on them to become responsible citizens who will positively impact LSU and their respective communities upon graduation.
We have established an office to meet your needs. Please feel free to contact LSU Parent & Family Programs when you have questions or concerns. You might also consider becoming a member of the LSU Family Association.
We are so pleased that you are part of the LSU community!
